This guide covers cancellations, care and maintenance, refunds and warranties. Please read this guide in it’s entirety.

Cancellations

A non-refundable cancellation fee of 20% applies to all orders and reservations cancelled within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, the cancellation fee is 50%. These fees are based on your deposit amount and not the total invoice. The fees are to cover both administrative and material costs.

Care and Maintenance

Natural wood products will react to their environment in a similar fashion as a sponge. Seasonal changes can cause wood to retain or lose moisture and therefore expand and contract. These changes can be exacerbated in very dry and humid environments or abrupt changes in climate. We take every precaution within our power to minimize this affect. You can help by not placing your furniture or barn door near a fireplace, over a vent, or near vents or any type of portable heaters, air conditioners that force air upon them. If you’re placing a barn door near a vent, it is highly advisable to direct the flow of the vent away from the door or doors with a deflector. High or low humidity extremes within your home or office can cause warping, checking and joint separation. Humidifiers are recommended in the winter when the relative humidity indoors can drop however overuse can also create problems by adding too much moisture into the air.  If using a humidifier, please make sure that you’re also using a hygrometer. Failure to adhere to these guidelines will void any warranty of our products. Do not store your furniture or barn doors in a non-climate controlled environment such a storage unit, basement (high moisture), or attic (high heat).

Placing furniture in direct sunlight can damage the finish over time and/or bleach the wood. Use of window shades, drapes or blinds to protect your furniture.

Do not use commercial sprays or chemicals to clean your furniture. Use a damp, not wet, cloth and wipe dry. You may use a mild soap detergent to disinfect but you should always remove the soap with a clean damp cloth and dry, with a clean, dry cloth.
Do not place a glass cover on top of wood furniture without spacers to allow air to circulate between the glass and the wood. Do not leave plastic objects lying on finished surfaces. Color from plastic or vinyl tablecloths, appliance covers, food wrappers, plastic place mats and toys can discolor the finish and leach into wood over time. There can be a chemical reaction between some types of finish and certain plastics that causes them to stick to each other, damaging the finish when it is pulled off. Regular dusting will keep debris from building up on the surface and will help eliminate scratches. Do not use commercial sprays or chemicals to clean your furniture. Spills should be removed immediately. Remove any moisture with a clean, dry cloth.
Do not place hot dishes directly on any wood surface.
Using coasters and place mats on table tops will protect the finish.
Use a desk pad to protect the service from indentions and ink stains.
Do not place furniture near heat sources such as vents or fireplaces.
Do not drag your furniture across the floor.
Do not use furniture intended for use indoors, outdoors.

Warranties

The core of our business is rustic furniture with all of the wonderful characteristics of such. All of our furniture and barn doors are handcrafted from solid wood making each piece unique in appearance and to that effect, you are guaranteed your items will be one of a kind. Because we are using solid and not engineered products, there are natural elements that we cannot and will not be able to completely remove such as knots and cracks that naturally occur in the wood that we use. These are not defects, again they are natural and are to be appreciated. The style, finish and type of wood that you choose for your furniture or barn door will determine whether we will maximize or minimize these elements and blend them together to create the custom look you’re looking for.

Repeated dissembling and moving any piece of furniture may create undue tear on its joints. When moving, furniture should be properly lifted and not dragged.

Should one of our pieces become structurally unstable or if excessive warping or twisting occurs due to no fault of your own, we will repair or replace your product if this occurred and we were notified within six (6) months from the date of purchase.

For warranty issues, we will repair or provide a replacement of the original item ordered.

Refunds

Because we want you to love it, we offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on all of our products. Our guarantee works like this: If you’re unhappy with your project upon receipt/delivery, we will refund your deposit. For a Satisfaction Guarantee refund to be issued, you must reject the product upon delivery. Installation fees and delivery fees are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund if applicable. For out-of-state purchases, in order for a refund to be issued, you must return the product to us in the same condition that it was delivered and at your own expense. Once we receive our product back, you will be issued a refund in the same method(s) that your deposit and final payment were received.

Refunds for non-defective products will be subject to a 25% restocking fee and will be issued upon return of the product in the same condition that you received it and within 60 days from date of purchase.  Returning the product and all expenses associated with the return is the responsibility of the purchaser. Once we receive our product back, you will be issued a refund in the same method(s) that your deposit and final payment were received.
